Information can be leaked in various ways, the simplest of which is a picture of the subject itself, and then there are critical pieces of information shared by “company insiders”. However, leaks can also come through posters and big banner advertisements. Case in point, the Xiaomi X5.
The said device, it seems, has been shown in a poster with certain interesting details about its specs and hardware features. In the picture, the phone is being held by a person with its back towards the viewer. What is quite clearly visible is the dual camera in a horizontal arrangement along with the LED flash.
The other text in Chinese indicate the model name as 5X and it is destined to be powered by the Snapdragon 625 processor and a generous 4 GB of RAM. Also, the screen measures at 5.5 inches and throws a Full HD display.
Interestingly, there is said to be another version of the 5X equipped with the slightly faster processor Snapdragon 660 and even more 6 GB of RAM. Internal memory could be 64 GB. This variant will also have a dual camera setup at the back with two 12 mega-pixel Sony sensors of different specifications, of course.
This new and upcoming handset is speculated to be the first of a new sub-brand of smartphones that Xiaomi is possibly coming out with this month. The company expects to aggressively promote its offline sales through this new series and increase the competition against the likes of Vivo and Oppo.
