If we talk about the smartphone’s specifications, they are essentially identical to those of the Xiaomi Mi 5X that was launched in China a while back. In fact, except for the stock Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system, the Mi A1 has the same specifications as the Mi 5X.
The smartphone has a 5.5-inch Full HD display and comes with a dual camera setup at the back, comprised of two 12MP modules. There’s a 5MP selfie shooter included in the mix too.

The stock version of Android is clearly the highlight of the Mi A1, as it’s the first Xiaomi smartphone that doesn’t have MIUI customization included. At the launch, the company focused on the smartphone’s slim body and curved design.
Xiaomi Mi A1 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM. There’s also 64GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD cards of up to 128GB in size. The phone is backed by a 3,080mAh battery and has a USB Type-C port too.
