Oppo officially unveils R11 and R11 Plus with Snapdragon 660 processor.

The body is made up of one-piece metal with slim dimensions. The curves are such that it provides an overall good grip of the device. The antenna lines are discreet but remind of the ones in the iPhone 7/7 Plus. At the back, one can see the dual camera setup.

R11 Plus and R11
The R11 Plus comes with a bigger AMOLED screen measuring at 6 inches while having the same resolution of 1080p as the one in R11. The Snapdragon 660 is nicely complemented by an impressive 6 GB of RAM with 64 GB of internal storage and it is expandable via microSD card. More RAM is expected to run things smoother on the larger 6-inch display. The Plus also gets a larger 4,000mAh battery.

On the other hand, the R11 comes with a smaller 5.5-inch AMOLED display with the same 1080p resolution. While the processor is unchanged, the RAM is lower at 4 GB with the same 64 GB of internal storage. Memory in both models is expandable up to 256 GB. The R11 has a smaller battery at 3,000mAh.

Both models share the same camera – Dual 20MP at the back and a single lens 20MP at the front

That said, one of the most critical hardwares in both phones, the camera, remains unchanged. There is a dual camera at the back capable of clicking 20MP pictures. It has one 16MP sensor with f1.7 aperture which is the main camera and the other sensor measuring at 20MP with f2.6. Together, the camera is capable of producing telephoto as well (portrait and the bokeh effect) other than the normal photos. Lastly, 4k videos can be recorded at 30 frames per second. At the front, there’s a 20MP single lens camera.

The R11 series, and especially the R11 Plus with 6 GB RAM, are expected to be good performers with the Snapdragon 660 processor. The chipset is future proof as well as it supports up to 8 GB of RAM and a resolution of 2560 x 1600 to name a few. This means even more powerful future phones with the same processor.

Pricing is yet to be announced by Oppo, although, we suspect it is going to be quite competitive as the phones itself.
