In an attempt to steal some limelight from Xiaomi (and its Mi 8 unveil), which is one of Oppo’s supposed competitors, Oppo has teased what is likely to be its next flagship, Find X.

The digital poster doesn’t reveal anything other than a big ‘X’ at the center followed by the text ‘Find X’ around the bottom making it clear that the their next Find smartphone will be called Find X. Everything else regarding the alleged upcoming device remains open for speculation. Of course, we expect to see more information to become available about it in the near future.

However, possibly the biggest speculation about the Oppo Find X is that it might come with the under-display fingerprint sensor. But this could be more than a mere speculation as Oppo was recently granted patent for an in-screen fingerprint sensor tech which would likely be extended for making payments as well. Furthermore, according to a leaked render of the Find X, there’s no separately visible fingerprint sensor neither at the front nor at the back.

Secondly, the Find X is expected to come with the notch which may not be surprising at all given that it is the hottest trend right now. There’s hardly any information about the specifications but since the Oppo F7 sports a 6.23-inch display with the notch (delivering Full HD+ resolution), we can expect something similar in the Oppo Find X as well.

Other speculations about the Find X include the iPhone X-like facial recognition system which would be incorporated with a similar 3D module to keep the system as much foolproof as possible, 5x optical zoom for the main camera, a 15-minute ultra-quick fast charging tech and support for 5G as well.

Let us know in the comment section below what kind of features you think will come in the Oppo Find X. Keep watching this space for more information on this and other upcoming smartphones of 2018.
