Oppo Find X has been the centre point of news for most of the electronic media. Oppo created serious hype for this handset and when it got launched, many people declared it as the “futuristic smartphone”. But does it really stand up to the mark? The handset costs around INR 50,000. For this price, at least I don’t want any excuses, any flaw or any other issue.
The Oppo Find X is basically known for its all-screen design. With 93.8% screen-body-ratio, the smartphone definitely looks attractive. Plus, it doesn’t carry that ugly notch. Instead, the company has fitted an automatic motorized mechanism. When you open camera interface, the front and rear camera pops out. And the interesting thing is that the size of the automatic slider is similar to phone’s width. So, it looks better when compared to Vivo Nex.
Anyway, many people have also started criticizing this phone as it doesn’t stand up to the mark when it comes to display and camera. So, in this article, we are going to do an in-depth test of this handset and will find out whether it is good or not.

Design & Build Quality
The Oppo Find X is in the news due to its design. The company has left no stone unturned to give it a futuristic edge. However, I think it is just another step towards the future. We have already seen slider phones and Oppo just has made it automatic.
Now, this motorized mechanism cannot be considered as future. It is just another option and can’t be considered a mainstream option. We have seen in-display fingerprint sensor and I think the in-display camera sensor might also come in near future.
Anyway, talking about design, the Oppo Find X does look good. That all-screen design is captivating. Plus, holding the handset in hands do give you premium feel. It weighs 186 grams which is a bit heavier than regular Android smartphones but I think it won’t be a problem once you get used to it.
The Oppo Find X has been heavily criticized for its UI and display. Despite of being an INR 50,000 handset, it comes with a full HD+ display which is disappointing. Plus, the display isn’t bright enough to be operated under direct sunlight. Rest, color accuracy and sharpness is good.
Performance and Gaming
The Oppo Find X is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 processor. So, there is no issue when it comes to performance. Whether you are doing normal operations or heavy ones, the handset performs just fine.
Coming to the heavy gaming, the handset can handle PUBG Mobile, Modern Combat and almost every other heavy game with an ease. So, if you are a gamer, this smartphone is not going to disappoint you.
This is the second section where Oppo Find X has been heavily criticized. It’s a flagship smartphone but its camera performance is just average. While the daylight performance is impressive, it disappoints when the lighting condition is low. During daylight situation, the image quality is very good. It has very good details, color accuracy and sharpness.
Coming to the lowlight, the smartphone is average. Whether we talk about details or sharpness, everything looks similar to the OnePlus 6. Its lowlight performance is also questionable. So, if you are a camera lover, this phone is definitely not for you.
The Oppo Find X is backed by a 3,730 mAh battery. During normal and moderate usage, the smartphone can easily last a day on a single charge. The handset comes with fast charging technology but here is a twist. You get the normal VOOC fast charging tech on base variant. If you want the SuperVOOC which fully charges the battery in just 35 per cent, you will need to buy the 256 or 512GB variant.
Oppo definitely has worked really hard to make the Oppo Find X innovative and it has been successful too, to be true. The handset has never seen before design but it doesn’t stand up to the mark. In terms of display and camera, the company could have done better.
When one is paying INR 50,000, he/she won’t expect anything less. Full HD+ resolution is too common and comes on several low-end and lower mid-range handsets.
