As 2017 is slowly nearing its end, it continues to host the action in the mobile phone industry. And so, after much wait and delay, Motorola has finally launched the Moto X4 in India at a starting price of Rs 20,999.
Screen and Processor
Moto X4 is already available in Europe for some time now and the specifications go like this – 5.2 inches of LTPS LCD display housed inside an anodized aluminium frame combined with a 3D contoured glass back. The LCD display throws a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The whole body is IP68 certified for enhanced water resistance.
It is a mid-range device, hence, the processing power is provided by the Snapdragon 630 chipset with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage (as well as an option of 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage). Expectedly, the storage is expandable and to a whopping 2 TB (terabyte). On the other hand, graphics are provided by the Adreno 508 GPU. Overall, all this is typical mid-range hardware.
Camera – Rear and Front and Battery
On to the more interesting stuff, the main unit is a dual camera setup where the primary lens is 12 MP with an aperture of f2.0 while the secondary lens is an ultra-wide (120-degree field of view) 8 MP with an aperture of f2.2. The flash is dual LED and there’s Phase Detection Autofocus which is quite common in phone cameras nowadays. And for people who like a bit more control while photographing, there’s a Professional mode too with certain manual controls.
The front camera is 16 MP with an aperture of f2.0. It is also assisted by a Professional mode, Face filters, Beautification mode and a Selfie Panorama. Lastly, running time is provided by a 3,000mAh battery. This, combined with the stock Android Nougat 7.1, shall provide decent on-screen time.
Moto X4 has been launched at a starting price of Rs 20,999 for the 3 GB RAM/32 GB storage combo and RS 22,999 for 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage variant. It is exclusively available through FlipKart.
