LG has finally launched its 2018 flagship – the LG G7 ThinQ during an event (in New York). This is the world’s first Android smartphone to come with a dedicated Google Assistant button. Besides, the handset also has AI camera functionality. As of now, the company hasn’t revealed when this smartphone will come to India.
Talking about specifications, the LG G7 ThinQ is built around a 6.1 inch LCD display with 3120×1440 pixels resolution. With an iPhone X-like notch, the display has a “Super Bright” mode which is able to increase the brightness up to 1000 nits. What’s interesting is that the notch can be hidden or customized.
Powered by Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 845 SoC, the LG G7 ThinQ comes in two variants – 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM with 128GB ROM. The handset runs on Android Oreo and has IP68 certifications for dust and water resistance.
Coming to the imaging department, the LG G7 ThinQ features two 16 megapixels shooters on the rear. Out of which, the first camera has f/1.6 aperture whereas the second is a 107 degrees wide-angle lens with f/1.9 aperture. The camera department is also blessed with 8 megapixels front-facing shooter. LG has said that the AI functionality automatically adjusts camera settings depending on what you are shooting.
Fortunately, LG hasn’t ditched 3.5mm audio jack. Another interesting thing is that the LG G7 ThinQ comes with “Boombox” sound system and the company claims it to be the louder than any other smartphone on this planet. Further, the LG G7 ThinQ is backed by a 3000 mAh battery and comes in four color variants – Raspberry Rose, New Moroccan Blue, New Aurora Black and New Platinum Gray.
