After launching the Lenovo Z5 and Lenovo K5 Note (2018), Lenovo launched its long-awaited low-end smartphone – the Lenovo A5. The smartphone was in the leaks since a long time. The Lenovo A5 is targeted to budget-oriented customers and will compete with low-end phones under ₹7,000.
Lenovo A5 Price and Availability
Much like the Lenovo Z5 and Lenovo K5 Note (2018), the Lenovo A5 has also been launched in China. It comes with a price tag of CNY 599 (approx. ₹6,300). The smartphone will be available in China with no words on India launch however, we expect Lenovo to launch it in India soon.
Lenovo A5 Specifications and Features
Running on Android 8.1 Oreo-based ZUI 3.9, the Lenovo A5 features a 5.45 inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 720×1440 pixels resolution. The handset is powered by a quad-core processor running at 1.5GHz of clocked processing speed coupled with 3GB of RAM, embedded into MediaTek MT6739 SoC.
The Lenovo A5 features a 13 megapixels camera on the rear with f/2.2 aperture, monochrome flash and autofocus. An 8 megapixels shooter is also placed at the front with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. It comes in two storage variants – 16GB ROM and 32GB ROM. Both variants’ internal storage can be expanded up to 256GB via MicroSD.
Connecivity options on the Lenovo A5 include 3.5mm audio jack, micro-USB port, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac and dual SIM. The handset comes with four sensors – fingerprint, proximity, ambient light and accelerometer. Further, the smartphone is backed by a 4000 mAh battery.
