According to a report from the website, MacObserver, the upcoming iPhone 8 is speculated to be heavier that its younger brothers. MacObserver is known to be frequently leaking information about the upcoming iPhone and most of them seem true. This time, the unofficial news about iPhone 8’s dimensions have been leaked. We already knew that the iPhone 8 would be slightly longer and wider than the older iPhone 7, but now it will be thicker and heavier than the latter.
Benjamin Geskin, who is known to be breaking latest iPhone news, said that “Factory workers have disclosed the iPhone 8 dimensions size of 5.65 x 2.79 x 0.31 inches.” On the contrary, the iPhone 7 had the dimensions of size is 5.44 x 2.64 x 0.28 inches. Geskin also disclosed the news about the protective iPhone 8 case available on the Alibaba website.
Media reports that the iPhone 8 will be featuring a borderless OLED display with the same screen size as on the iPhone 7 Plus with a virtual rather than the physical home button. Touch ID fingerprint sensor is embedded in the screen to support wireless charging capability. The iPhone 8 is said to be powered by a powerful A11 processor.
Apple has not disclosed any news about the iPhone 8 and has neither discussed about its existence. We shall all officially learn this grand news only when Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook announces this fall. But, still we have enough information to claim iPhone 8’s existence and specification but the only thing we are waiting for is the price tag, which Tim would announce.
