Huawei has unveiled a budget smartphone, Honor 7A, in China. The phone is priced at CNY 1,000 which translates to USD $ 160 and around Rs 10,405 INR. However, so far there is no info about Honor 7A’s availability in markets outside China.

The most notable feature of the phone is the display’s 18:9 aspect ratio and that it comes with Android Oreo. The display itself is an IPS LCD unit measuring at 5.7 inches and delivers HD resolution (720 x 1,440 pixels). Honor 7A gets 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The overall processing power is supplied by the Snapdragon 430 processor. Given the price of the phone, we are unsure of the phone’s success in the segment since we already have the Snapdragon 625 equipped smartphones around the similar price.

However, the phone has an up to date design thanks to the screen’s aspect ratio and the dual camera setup at the back. On that note, the primary lens is a 13 MP unit with an aperture of f2.2 while the secondary lens is a 2 MP unit meant to capture impressive Bokeh or Portrait images. At the front, there is an 8 MP camera with a dedicated LED flash. Lastly, there is a 3,000mAh battery which should provide satisfactory runtime.
