There is hardly a doubt that the upcoming 10th Anniversary iPhone is the most anticipated and awaited smartphone of the year. But truth be told, Apple isn’t the only mobile phone maker who is planning to floor the audience with its next device. Among few others, there is Huawei and the company is preparing to introduce the Huawei Mate 10 in the near future in the high-end segment.
One of the most prominent features of the Mate 10 will be the screen dominant display (or the full screen display) which means extremely thin or no bezels on the sides while the top and bottom bodywork can be expected to remain minimal as well.
As far as the processing power is concerned, it is believed that the phone will come equipped with Kirin 970 chipset, which is based on the 10nm process, is a flagship-grade processor and is said to have the performance capability to match the Snapdragon 835 processor (as well as the Samsung Exynos 8895). While there is no word on the RAM so far, but it would be safe to assume that it will be at least 4 GB while the possibility of 6 GB isn’t unlikely either.
Coming back to the processor, the Kirin 970 will have the Cortex-A73 cores for delivering top-notch performance. Note that there is no confirmation on this as yet.
However, Huawei’s Chief of Consumer Division, Richard Yu, has confirmed about the screen dominant display as well as quicker charging speed and one of the best photography capabilities so much so that he has gone on to directly mention Apple’s next iPhone as his target to beat. He also announced that Huawei will exit the lower segment of the smartphone market in order to concentrate more on the mid-range and high-end categories.
