Honor has launched its second water-resistant tablet in China. Named as Honor WaterPlay 8, the main highlight of the tablet is its IP67 rating. The tablet comes with an 8-inch WXGA display. The screen comes with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.
Honor WaterPlay 8 specifications:
The tablet is powered by a Kirin 659 octa-core processor paired with Mali T830-MP2 GPU. It will be available in WiFi and LTE versions. The device measures 248 x 173 x 7.8mm and weighs 465 grams.
The Honor WaterPlay 8 is backed by 6 GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. There is also an option for storage expansion up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
For the camera, the Honor WaterPlay comes with a dual-camera setup at the back with a combo of a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2 MP secondary lens with f/2.4 aperture. For the selfies, there is an 8 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Honor WaterPlay 8 battery:
The newly launched Honor WaterPlay tablet is powered by a 5100mAh battery. The phone also comes with a support for fast charging via 9V- 2A charger. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with company’s own EMUI 8.1 skin atop.
Connectivity option on the tablet includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C and NFC.
Honor WaterPlay 8 pricing:
The new tablet has three variants. The base variant that is 64 GB Wi-Fi comes with a price tag of 1499 Yuan (approx Rs 15,899). For 128 GB Wi-Fi version costs 1899 Yuan (approx Rs 21,000), while the 64GB LTE option comes with a price tag of 1799 Yuan (approx. Rs 19,100).
