The Indian broadband cable service provider Hathway has announced its partnership with Netflix to provide the access of the Netflix content streaming directly from the Hathway set-top box. The company introduced the new set-top box integrated with Netflix at an introductory price of Rs 2,999.
The set-top box will come with a remote that will have a dedicated Netflix button, which will help its user to directly launch the Netflix by clicking the button. Further, subscribers can pay for their Netflix subscription using their Hathway bill. For existing and new customers, who subscribe to Netflix and pay through their Hathway bill will receive this set-top box for free.
Rajan Gupta, MD, Hathway says “In this smart and digital era, customers are looking at leading Internet entertainment services like Netflix to access high quality, well-produced entertainment. The soon to be launched Hathway set-top box will make watching streaming videos on large screens an incredible experience. The Hathway set-top box will be bundled with our high-speed, unlimited fiber-to-home monthly plans.”
Netflix has also partnered with some other Indian companies in the past. The content streaming company has recently partnered with Airtel for providing free three months of free subscription for customers purchasing Airtel postpaid and V-Fiber broadband connection but sadly the service rolled out.
