Renders, before a launch or an official reveal, always manage to fuel speculations. It also serves as a fantastic marketing campaign especially for top-of-the-line devices that guarantee high-end specs and performance. Now, latest renders of the Google Pixel 2 have leaked (courtesy of a Reddit user) highlighting a few interesting things about it.

First, the front seems to sport a screen dominant display with extremely thin bezels at both sides and at the bottom while the top has some space for the speaker and the front camera. The back portion is largely clean with a “G” symbol at the centre and, unsurprisingly, a dual camera with horizontal arrangement of the two lenses along with dual-tone LED dual flash. This is getting interesting as far as renders go.

There’s also the fingerprint sensor placed between the camera and the “G” symbol. If the renders are to be believed, it is a good placement for the sensor as there is a decent gap between itself and the camera. Also, a screen dominant display robs any possibility of placing the biometric sensor at the front.

There’s another observation regarding the design language – it looks inspired by the LG G6 especially from the back. There are reports that one of the next generation of Pixel devices could be manufactured by LG, and hence, the similarity in design.

As far as other major specifications go, Pixel 2 is looking to come with Snapdragon 835 with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It will likely run Android Nougat 7.1.1 (later upgradable to Android O) and a 5.6-inch 2k display. Also, renders and rumors that arrive close to the official unveil of a product have a pretty decent chance to be true. Keep watching this space as we bring you more similar updates.
