Following one of the latest trends of the full-screen design, LeEco has unveiled the Coolpad Cool 2 smartphone with the 18:9 display. The phone comes with an IPS LCD display panel measuring at 5.7 inches and delivers HD+ resolution (720 x 1440). It also gets 2.5D layer protection.
The front side is devoid of a notch (which has suddenly become a rage among phone makers) and the overall design is quite traditional. The Coolpad Cool 2 is powered by the MediaTek MT6750 chipset along with 4 GB of RAM an 64 GB of internal storage. There is no option as such.
Furthermore, the Cool 2 comes with Android Nougat 7.0 and gets its own custom UI on the top. There is a dual camera setup at the back which might sound as if it’s a modern setup but it is not. The primary lens is a 13 MP unit while the secondary lens is an uninspiring 0.3 MP unit. We are not sure about the purpose of the secondary lens here as there is no mention of any sort of functionality dedicated to it.
Other features include a micro-USB port, 3200 mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor at the back. Lastly, the phone is splash-proof. There is no information on the pricing as yet. But since the Coolpad Cool 2 is now official, we expect to see the price anytime soon.
