In an attempt to compete with upcoming Jio GigaFiber broadband services, the government operated BSNL has updated its broadband plans. The plans will now offer more data while the prices will remain the same. The plan ranges from Rs 249 to Rs 2,295. As an update to the previous plans, the current plans now offer as much as three times more data than previous plans with some FUP limits. Look below for more details.
The Rs 249 plan will now offer 15 GB of data at 5 Mbps, previously it was 5 GB. BBG Combo ULD 499 plan now offers 25 GB of data at 8 Mbps. Post exhausting your DATA quota the speeds will reduce to 1 Mbps.
The Rs 549 plan now offers 30 GB data per month at 8 Mbps which will be reduced to 1 Mbps if your data gets exhausted.
Other plans such as BBG Combo ULD 675, BBG Combo ULD 795 and the BBG Combo ULD 845 now offer 35GB, 45GB, and 50GB of data respectively.
Broadband Plans costing over Rs 1000:
The plan for Rs 1199 offers 80 GB of data per month. The BBG ULD 1275 offers 120 GB and BBG ULD 1495 offers 140 GB data per month. All the three plans above offer a speed of 10 Mbps with FUP limit. The most expensive plan that is BBG ULD 2295 now offers a 200 GB of data per month at a speed of 24 Mbps.
These changes in BSNL’s broadband plans are effective immediately and will have free voice calling across the country.
