Expanding the variety of colors for its products, Apple launched red color variants of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The new variants will be called iPhone 8 RED and iPhone 8 Plus RED. Both smartphones are officially said to be available in India in May. Along with special editions, the company also launched a “Leather Folio” case for iPhone X. It costs ₹7,999.
Note: Both smartphones have been launched under (PRODUCT)RED lineup. For unawares, iPhones under (PRODUCT)RED lineup are manufactured in partnership with AIDS Charity(RED).
Talking about price, the 64GB variant of iPhone 8 RED is priced at ₹67,940 while the 256GB variant comes with a price tag of ₹81,500. On the other hand, the 64GB variant of iPhone 8 Plus RED costs ₹77,560 whereas 256GB variant comes with a price tag of ₹91,110.
The specifications of these two handsets remain same. The iPhone 8 RED features a 4.7 inch display and comes with 2GB of RAM, whereas the iPhone 8 Plus RED has 5.5 inch display and comes with 3GB of RAM. Both smartphones are powered by Apple’s own hexa-core A11 Bionic processor with Apple GPU.
The iPhone 8 RED features a 12 megapixels shooter on the rear, whereas the iPhone 8 Plus RED has a combo of 12 megapixels shooters on the rear. Both smartphones features a 7 megapixels front facing shooter. Further, the iPhone 8 RED and iPhone 8 Plus RED are backed by 1821 and 2691 mAh batteries respectively.
