Apple iPhone 8 and 7S/7S Plus Enter Production as per a Leak from Foxconn

0 546

A leak from Foxconn has hinted that the next generation Apple iPhone 8 and the “S” upgrade of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have gone into production. Foxconn is a contract electronics manufacturer whose top clients include the likes of Apple. Considering that Apple usually reveals its new range of iPhones in the second half of each year, the news holds worth.

Certain details have come out that actually reaffirms what has mostly been speculated so far, for example, the iPhone 7S/7S Plus are expected to retain the design of the current 7/7 Plus while the most important upgrade is likely to come for the processor. Although, they will probably not have the wireless charging feature.

The iPhone 8, on the other hand, will have a fresh take on the design front with the screen dominating the front side and the familiar Home button removed in the efforts of downsizing the overall size of the phone.

More specific details about the iPhone 8 are:
1. Finger print sensor integrated into the screen itself.
2. Fast charging through Lightning port or the wireless option. USB-C has been given a miss in all likeliness.
3. 3D face scanner camera for enhanced security.
4. 3 GB of RAM with single SIM slot.
5. Water proof feature over the current flagship iPhones will be improved.
6. Front side to be dominated by the screen with less space for the rest of the bodywork. Home button will be absent.
7. Rear dual camera with a vertical layout.

It should also be noted that the iPhone 8 is supposed to come with the OLED screens which would be a first for iPhones. These screens are being supplied by Samsung. We are expecting big news in September. Keep watching this space as we bring more updates on this.
